HIDCO (Housing Infrastructure
Development Corporation, a subsidiary of the West
Bengal Government) provided a plot of land for
the housing needs of NRIs (Non-Resident Indians).
The developer, Rosedale Garden, has satisfied
HIDCO's requirements for an NRI housing project.
It is the first and only housing project approved
by the Government for NRIs.
HIDCO is an autonomous body
of the West Bengal Government authorized to implement
the Master Plan of New Town, Rajarhat, and make
it to make the new township one of the best in
India. The Board of Directors of HIDCO consists
of government officers, engineers, urban planners,
environmentalists, social workers and many other
experts.
HIDCO owns all the land in New
Town, Rajarhat. As part of the master plan, HIDCO
is developing six-lane highways, sewer systems,
water and electric supply systems, planting trees,
preserving lakes, building parks, bus stations,
gas stations, markets and more.
HIDCO will monitor the construction,
development, and compliance with environmental
rules from the start. At the time of transfer
of ownership, HIDCO will examine and certify the
quality of the construction. The ownership title
will be given directly to the buyer by HIDCO.
Therefore, the titles will be FREE of any illegal
claims.
New Town, Rajarhat is on the
eastern fringe of Kolkata. New Town starts from
the eastern corner of Salt Lake and goes up to
Garia, the southern end of Kolkata City.. This
125 sq km area is parallel to the new Eastern
Bypass. New Town will be the new Kolkata, the
new dream city. It will be a TOTAL city with hospitals,
university campuses, an enclave for consulate
staff, high-tech industries, light rail connections
to Kolkata and many more.
Rosedale Housing will be in
Action Area III, near the proposed Tata Cancer
Institute and IT parks. It will be a peaceful
area with all the amenities of a big city.
Rosedale Garden is about a 15-minute
drive from the airport (15 km) and a 5-minute
drive from Salt Lake (5 km) on six-lane arterial
roads.
It is 16.32 acres, a ready to
build plot of land.
The foundation stone was laid
on 27 February 2006.
Rosedale Garden will have a
range of services and amenities which is seldom
present in a single housing estate. Rosedale Garden
apartments will have built-in amenities, like
a modular kitchen, built-in storage space in bedrooms,
etc. It will have apartments for senior citizens
too. The other services and facilities are an
airport car service, swimming pools, tennis courts,
food park, and office space. The apartments are
customizable: you can choose the materials for
the flooring, and the paint colours from options
given.
